We made it to Longview, Texas for my fall break. Last time we traveled there, we had a blow out in my vehicle and remembered we didn't have a spare. This time we made sure that didn't happen again, so we took Trent's truck instead. Welp, we got to Longview, but notice a horrid noise coming from the engine. The bad news - Trent's truck would take 5 days to fix. None the less, we had a fantastic time visiting with friends.
Our friends, Jaymie & Kory have an amazing family. We didn't get a pic of it, but within the first 5 seconds, P was already giving their son, Quinn, a big bear hug!
Here, she is pointing out Kayon's eyes. He was so nice about it, even though she was basically breaking his glasses and poking his eye out.
Kanyon was also really nice about P stealing his markers.
P also wanted to love on their newest addition, Jaylie June.
We stayed with our good friends, Peyton and Jordan. "Aunt P and Uncle Jord".
The boys showed support for their teams for the big game. And what a great game it turned out to be!
Peyton and Jordan are expecting a baby any day now. I was hoping Peyton would be so excited about our visit, that it might throw her into labor. No luck there, but I did get to see baby Landry in a sonogram.
P had a good time at the walk for Downs Syndrome.
We didn't actually walk, but we did play!
I was so impressed by P. She told the man, "Thank You!"
We obviously played hard. Melt down = time to go!
I was thrilled to get to spend some time with some of my favorite teacher friends of all time, Brandy and Julie! I love these ladies so much and miss them like crazy!
Brandy's fabulous daughters babysat the kids while we went and had an adult dinner.
P is giving Julie's son, Braden, a big hug! Love that kid!
I can't wait to go back to Longview to see Julie's new baby in April.
Here's one last pic from our trip. Peyton got a kick out of P's face when she attacks her food.
Here are a few extra pics taken from my phone before our trip to Longview.
And finally, this cracks me up. I sent my sister this picture of P on the horse...
She very quickly responds with this picture of Ashlyn.
Well played, sister. Well played.
