Mother's Day Weekend

Gigi, Bobalou, Aunt Summy, and Cousin Ashlyn came to visit us this weekend.
Summer brought her new fancy camera, so you can bet there were lots of pictures taken!

It's still amusing how different Paisley and Ashlyn are.
P is "full throttle" and Ash is "little miss priss".
P is always on the go, and Ash is very laid back.

On Saturday we took the girls in the wagon to the neighborhood garage sale.
I was the winner that day as I found this Crayola Easel,
complete with magnetic alphabet and full bag of sidewalk chalkd, for only 5 bucks!
It was an instant hit with Paisley, although it's permanent home will be with my friend,
Priscila, who will be keep P next year when I go back to work.
We might have to sneak a few pieces of chalk to keep at our house.

We also visited Bricktown in OKC.

You might have noticed how much taller P is compared to Ashlyn.
Ashlyn has Achondroplasia, which is the most common type of dwarfism.
We are so excited to have such a special little girl in our family.

P loves her cousin, although Ashlyn has different feelings towards Paisley right now.

"Tickle Tickle"

A kiss on the back
"Bobalou! Save me!"
 Checking Ash's diaper

Hugs!

On Monday we ventured out to the zoo.

Obviously the zoo wore these two out!
This may have been the only nap Paisley took the whole weekend!

Later that evening we took the girls around the neighborhood in the wagon again.

The girls also received personalized placemats from Gigi.
P is in love with hers.
She wants to sit in her chair just so she can talk to the girl on the placemat.

(notice the chalk in P's hand - must not let go!)

We spent the rest of the afternoon just practicing with Aunt Summer's new camera.
Enjoy.

Thanks Gigi, Bobalou, Aunt Summy, and Ashlyn for a wonderful weekend.
We love you.

Sidewalk Chalk

I finally used a recipe from Pinterest to make edible sidewalk chalk paint.
We had a good time!

Our neighbor, who is obsessed with P, ran over as soon as she saw the garage door go up.
That is not abnormal.
But it's all good. She was able to help P with the paint.

Don't worry. It's just cornstarch and water.

Ok, now this might be a little excessive.

Oh boy!

Oh yeah, this just happened!

We found out later that food coloring stains concrete...and skin.  Oops!
