Beach Baby

WARNING: Get ready for a picture overload.

P and I spent the last week in Port Aransas for Spring Break.
In true Spring Break spirit, Ashlyn spent the first night throwing up,
and Paisley finished the week off by lifting her dress for a boy at the airport.

Here is a recap of how the rest of the week went:

You ARRRGGGHHH a cutie!

We only got one shot of P and Ash in the tub together.
P wouldn't sit still and Ash started crying.

It's beach time! Gigi bought the girls matching swimsuits.
She's a surfer girl.

Ben took the girls for a luxury wagon ride on the beach.

P was fascinated by the feeling of the wheels spinning.

P also liked grabbing Ashlyn's ankles in the wagon.
I'm not sure why, but Ash didn't appreciate it very much.

First time in the sand!

Yum! Sand in the mouth!

This is the only picture I could get of the girls together.
Once again, P wouldn't sit still.

I was really surprised how much P enjoyed the sand and water.

"Aunt" Becky bought the girls some beach chairs!

P preferred to sit in her chair like this.

MONKEY FACE!

Love this picture of Ashlyn.
She has such beautiful eyes.
And she sits in her chair like a lady.

We had a cook out with some good family friends,
AKA some of our river buddies.
P and Ash had matching dresses made by Mrs. Cindy.

 Ok, steal my heart!
This actually happened A LOT!
P is so loving. She loves to gives hugs and kisses, especially to her cousin, Ashlyn.
However, she also gave hugs to two little boys at Ashlyn's party.
Don't tell her dad.

We spent a second day at the beach - this time with all the right tools!

Bobalou taught P how to play in the sand.

P taught herself how to boogie board.

We went to the park and found the perfect slide.
It was Paisley sized.
Bobalou and Gigi helped her down, and she LOVED it!

My good friend, Heidi, and her newborn daughter, Miss Ava, came to visit us.
It was the first time for us to see each other since Paisley was born.
I can't wait for Ashlyn, Paisley, and Ava to spend more time at the beach together.

All in all, we had a fantastic trip.
It was the first time P got to spend time with her cousin when they were both feeling well.
I can't wait until her daddy gets to come with us again.
We hope to make another trip back this summer.

This Little Piggie

So this happened again.
It happens often, but she was super cute this morning, so I grabbed a camera.

But this post is really about this:

PIGTAILS!!!
P actually has a mullet.
Because of a large callous (spelling?) she has in the back of her head,
half of her hair goes forward and the rest lays down in the back.
How am I supposed to work with that?
Well, here's how: Pigtails in the back, and clips in the front.
Man, Pigtails are CUTE!

And yes, that is Harley's rawhide in her hand.  She has a new hobby of taking it from Harley, and instead of putting it in her own mouth, she shoves it back in Harley's mouth. She's such a giver.
Ok, let's get serious. She still puts it in her own mouth sometimes. But we are working on that!

Tomorrow P and I head out by plane to Houston Ashlyn's 1st Birthday!
Our flight leaves at 6 AM!!!
We will have to wake her up at 4:30 AM to get going.  Eeks!
Pray for a happy, pleasant baby for myself and all the other occupants of our plane!

Am I a Toddler?

I apologize in advance for a picture overload.
I couldn't decide what pictures to post, so I just posted them all!

We got P's rocking chair out of the attic this week.
I thought she would use this chair as a newborn, but never did.
I'm glad she is enjoying it now.

She is able to get in and out of it all by herself.
However, she enjoys climbing and standing on it rather than the old-fashion way.

She also enjoys crawling underneath the chair.

I don't know if P is trying to tell me that it is time to eat, or letting me know she is what's for dinner.

P loves Harley the dog, and Harley Bear.
It could be just me, but I think P has associated dogs with the word "Woof".
I've caught her copying Harley after he barks, and saying that word when we see another dog.
But then again, she seems to just make that sound a lot.

As her cousin, Carly would say..."HOLLYWOOD!!!"
Oh Yeah, Baby! We are going to the park!

The bow did not stay in her hair very long.
In fact, I found it in her mouth when we got to the park.

I think I have a little toddler on my hands.
I can't believe how grown up she looks and acts in this picture,
watching tv and feeding herself a snack.
The green snack cup was a free gift from a shoe purchase we made this week.
The shoes were returned, but we kept the cup!

And now for the grand finale...
I present to you Little Miss Paisley Walker
